About Liberty Baptist
Liberty Baptist Church is a gathering of very real people called together by the Holy Spirit. Each of us has a unique identity. Our different ideas, talents, and experiences are brought together by God for the benefit of every one. Liberty Baptist offers all who care to fellowship with us a traditional Baptist style of worship. We find meaning and depth in the tried and tested faith handed down to us by the saints. The Bible teaches that there is nothing new under the sun. No where is this truer than in the human condition. Christianity is a life to be lived. Therefore, experience matters.
We believe in the power of prayer. So, we pray for one another in our private as well as our corporate prayer lives. Whether a detailed request is made, or the need remains unspoken, we will pray for your needs.
We view the church as a family—the family of God. Lifting up one another and encouraging spiritual growth is our goal for everyone. We rejoice in each one’s success and stand by each other in times of trouble.
We sing from hymnals you can hold in your hand and browse through for inspiration. These old standards have a distinct emphasis on a personal evangelical commitment to God, and to one another. We encourage personal involvement in worship as expressed in song. We rejoice in the fact that the Scriptures exhort heart felt singing more than talented performance.
We are not a Sunday Only kind of church. We believe that reading the Scriptures, prayer, mediation, and study are daily activities of Christian life. Building on these things, we strive to live each day as a testimony to power of the Spirit to transform us. None of us is perfect. We do not expect it of ourselves, nor of others. What we receive from God when we fail is saving grace. What we give each other for our imperfections is forgiveness, encouragement, and love.

Our preaching is relevant to today’s hectic life in a hostile culture. Our focus is on the transforming power of the love of God. We view the gospel as a positive model for every Christian leading to a life of joy, peace, and love in the Holy Spirit.
While we exhort everyone to a positive experience in Christ, we also preach against sin, not to point fingers, but as a call to experience salvation. Sin is at the root all pain, sorrow, hatred, and death. These things are in the world as a natural consequence of mankind’s ongoing rebellion against God. God, in love, calls us to a restoration of peace through the atonement sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.
